After a few serpentines on a steep slope characterized by a breathtaking panorama that certainly does not hide the Temple of San Biagio, Sangallo’s masterpiece, passing through a door, flanking the Fortress of Montepulciano, the bastion of the town of Poliziano, you come across the Osteria of the Count. Lorena and her son Paolo, after many years in the food and wine and restaurant sector, decided to give life to this small and welcoming place where those who arrive can complete the journey of the senses in Montepulciano by combining touch and taste with the previous three to be found in the simple but delicious dishes of the Sienese tradition.

The magical winter atmosphere, with the soft lights of the room, and the sparkling summer atmosphere with the view over the heart of Montepulciano, give added value to the chef’s culinary choices. The quality of the dishes is characterized by a meticulous choice of strictly local, seasonal raw materials, just as the dishes served are seasonal.
From the truffles of the lower Montepulciano area, to the mushrooms of the surrounding woods. From the pecorinos made by the milk artisans of the surrounding area, to the delicacy of the desserts, which are also seasonal.
All accompanied by a selected choice of wines, almost entirely Tuscan, among which the Nobile di Montepulciano stands out.
